Our NYJ datacenter provider has informed us that the outage is due to a small electrical failure that occurred with one of their redundant UPS devices, which then began smoking and led to a small fire in their UPS room. The fire department was dispatched and the fire was extinguished quickly, but the fire marshal is requiring extensive cleaning of the UPS devices and the rooms containing them before the site can be reenergized.
